2 Minutes with Pastor Don- All our righteousness are filthy rags

Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV) But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags”

A rich young man ran up to Jesus, fell on his knees before Him, and asked, “good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good -except God alone.” Luke 10:17-18. NIV.
Jesus himself depended on the good of His Father alone. It is the same with us. We always want to act as if our righteousness have something to do with God’s love for us. “No”! It is by His grace alone, and our accepting what Jesus did on the cross for our sins.

2Minutes with Pastor Don- In my Father's house are many rooms!

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
We have so many little chambers of the heart spiritually that is closed off to the work of God in our lives. God sent the Holy Spirit to help counsel and heal those places of the heart that are filled with pain, trouble, and strife. Jesus prepared a place for us! He said: “In my Father’s house are many rooms and I go there to prepare a place for you! Be encourage to make room in those deep chambers of your heart to God! He will heal you and give you victory.

Blessings,

Pastor Don Dukes

The 59th National Day of Prayer in Whitefish

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 11With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. 12We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The National Day of prayer meeting here in Whitefish was a great success in The Lord. We had double the amount of people show up than last year, and the people chosen to lead us in prayer were anointed by God to do so. Thank you all for praying for our Nation.
Today we are still seeing encouraging results of God’s work in the lives of people through the National Day of Prayer. As believers in Jesus Christ, as God’s people praying together, everyday should be  A National Day of Prayer.
God Bless you,
Don Dukes

2Minutes with Pastor Don- I stand at the door and knock!

Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

Just as we need to Ask, Seek and Knock for God to respond to us as we cry out to Him in all things, so it is with us as well to open the door of our hearts when God knocks  it at any given time! In order to receive  the help and growth we need to live for God in this world that can be dark at times, we need to allow the power of God through the Holy Spirit to come in the doors of our hearts and do a changing work that only He can and will do, if we let Him!
Just remember: Colossians 1:27To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.’

Blessings,
Pastor Don Dukes

5 Ways to Strengthen Your Walk with God

How do I make my walk with the Lord stronger?

1) I Cry Out to Him.

THE RIGHTEOUS CRY OUT
Psalm 34:17- "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles"
Because of what Christ has done on the cross for us and the acceptance of His love sacrifice, we are called His righteous ones. This gift of righteousness gives us the right to call upon His name as our Heavenly Father. We can have confidence that in the midst of any storm, God will be in the boat with us to be our refuge and protection.
His name is Emanuel, "God with us" and because of this truth we can continue to cry out to the Lord in praise, and in even the most uncomfortable circumstances and watch Him respond because of His unfailing love for us.

2) I aknowledge that I am Accepted by Him.

ACCEPTED BY GOD
1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.." John 13:20.
The Word 'accept" means to receive willingly, approve, agree to, believe in.
This describes God's heart toward us. We live in a world full of comparison. We do comparison shopping for the things we need or want. God did not do comparison shopping when He made us! He made us fearfully and wonderfully.
In this message, Accepted by God, you will be encouraged to enjoy the person God has made you to be, so that you can live everyday as the victorious person God has created you to be.

3) When I ask Him to humble me.

I PRIDE
God loves a humble heart. The Bible says: "The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor." (Proverbs 15:33)
God sends no one away except those who are full of themselves.- D. L. MOODY.
The man who only works by himself and for himself is likely to be corrupted by the company he keeps.- JOHN L. MASON
Society tells us that we have to pull our own selves up by our own "boot straps"!
Jesus said, "The greatest in my kingdom must be a servant"(Matthew 20:26-28). Jesus took a humble position by dying on the cross for our sins, then rose again. If Jesus Christ would humble himself in sacrifice for us, how much more should we humble ourselves to do His will.
This message will encourage us to do just that.

4) When I let Him encourage me in the midst of discouragement
GOD'S POWER IN THE MIDST OF DISCOURAGEMENT

In 2002 I received a bad report concerning my health and became very discouraged. The doctors were not helpful, but God encouraged me in His Word and healed me completely.

Many times waves of adversity can wash over us, making us feel tempted to give up. As circumstances consume more of our attention, we can lose sight of the Lord's hand as He guides us through the storms of life. He promises us: I am with you always, holding by your hand. (Psalm 73:23).

In this teaching, you will be encouraged that you have God's Power in the Midst of Discouragement.

5) When I know that He will promote me as I obey His will

LET GOD PROMOTE YOU
We are all looking for promotion in our lives. Whether it is at work, in relationships, spiritual walk in the Lord, or at play, we look to be elevated or to do better in all areas of life. If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm. (Psalm 37:23).
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Psalm 32:8.
As we remain faithful to our work and calling, God is the One who elevates us to greater victory and opens the doors that no man can close. We are not to rely on our own resources!
"For in a man's heart are many plans, but the Lord directs his steps." (Proverbs 16:9).
This message will encourage you to Let God Promote You.
